That was the best thing I have ever done for myself as with Steffi's continued support I have managed to loose thirteen kilos and live a much healthier lifestyle. After taking a long haul flight to the UK and feeling very uncomfortable during the journey, I knew that I needed to do something to change my lifestyle and to start feeling healthier and better within myself. As a first step I took up Nordic Walking and started taking note about what I was eating. The first few weeks of Nordic Walking were quite tough as I hadn’t done any exercise for a number of months. Quite quickly though I found my fitness returning. I had a minor setback after a month of Nordic Walking when I pulled the ligament in my knee and couldn't do any exercise for a while. During the first month of Nordic Walking and after changing my diet, I had managed to loose 5 kilos. With the setback of my knee, I looked for something else to help with the weight loss and found the XL class. I knew that I needed to keep myself motivated and eating properly in order that the weight loss continued and that I would also have to exercise. The course seemed to fit my needs.
Being on the course has made me more aware of my own eating patterns and through the changes in my eating habits, I have lost around 20 kilos and have kept the weight off. Of course there have been days when things haven't gone to plan but as promoted by the course 'A lapse is not a collapse' and through the things learnt on the course I know the course of action needed to ensure that I get back on track. After the course, I now feel a lot happier and healthier, I still want to loose some more weight but I know that the main thing is to keep eating healthy and in time this weight loss will come. I am a lot fitter than I was at the start of the course and regularly walk up to the top of the Mount, which I wasn't able to do when I started. Matt I am totally thrilled with the XL class I attended with Steffi in February, not only is Steffi very motivated she has become a true lifetime friend. I found it really hard getting that extra weight off after having 2 children and going back to work, I knew I needed someone to come along and kick my butt. My clothes were tight, I was unhappy within myself, meeting Steffi and starting the (XL) Class has really changed my life. In the last few months I completed my 1st half Marathon, what an achievement that was, I am really into Nordic Walking (the best exercise ever). I have also realised that there is no such thing as a diet, but just sensible eating habits as well as learning to read food labels. Just changing your eating habits can change your life. I am motivated and even though I work and have 2 children, I now find the time to do exercise. I want to be FIT and HEALTHY and be there for my family. KEY: I have lost a total of 10 kgs and even though I lose my weight slowly I do feel better and happier within myself. Thank you Steffi !!!! Angeline |
