Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the benefits to me and why would I consider having a Seated Massage?
A: Seated Massage has proven to:
  • Help relieve common problems such as tension headaches and stiff, sore muscles
  • Significantly reduce anxiety levels and Systolic / Diastolic blood pressure readings
  • Reduce the physical and mental effects of stress, which in turn helps prevent 'burnout'
  • Address the problems associated with sitting at a workstation for long periods of time, such as stiff necks, headache and back strain
  • Improve alertness and the ability to focus -- an antidote for work slumps
  • Be a huge morale and esteem booster for staff
Q: OK, you've got my interest... why would my organization consider a "Seated Massage" as part of their wellness program?
A: Providing a tangible benefit, stress management tool or reward to employees demonstrates that the company really cares about their health and wellbeing, which in turn boosts loyalty and positive attitudes to work. Staff will involve themselves in this stress management tool / benefit, which comes right to them in their office environment and directly to their workstations if required. It is also generally an on-going tool / benefit or reward system. In this respect, it is a very cost effective benefit and stress management tool, in comparison to others, particularly the 'one off' stress management seminars.
Q: Why would we choose SYS over other Workplace Massage Providers?
A: SYS Seated Mobile Massage offers an extensive and high quality service. I am highly regarded by my clients who greatly appreciate their Seated Massage. They strongly believe that the very high standard of their Seated Massage, coupled with the extra services we offer, differentiate us from other Seated Massage providers.
The extra services include
  • I understand the nature of the corporate environment, realizing that not everything will "run to time, every time". Thus, I am prepared to give a little extra, to make sure that all who have booked in for their Seated Massage, receive it, even if it means me staying on a little longer to accomplish this (where time permits). This very point is probably the one most appreciated by my clients: That I am willing to go that extra mile to accommodate them when needed.
  • After my first two visits, I hand out a questionnaire to staff which they fill out anonymously, thus more likely to give honest, straightforward answers. I then compile a detailed report from these for management to gauge whether to continue with a course of SYS Seated Mobile Massage. I don't just offer the massage, I help you to decide whether it is appropriate for your working environment.
Q: Do you have a minimum numbers of hours required to make a visit?
A: What I require is a minimum of one hour booked for a visit to a workplace. I can accommodate a max. of 4 staff (treated at their workstations at 12 min each person) within this time.
Q: Do I need to wear special clothes? Is it ok if I'm wearing my skirt?
A: You don't need any special clothing. The Massage Chair has been designed to accommodate men and women of all shapes and sizes wearing virtually any style of clothing. I have never experienced a problem.
Q: Is 12 minutes the average time for a massage?
A: Yes it is. As mentioned, the sessions can be shorter or longer if required. Experience and research has shown that 12 minutes for a Seated Massage is the optimum time to be able to let go and relax and yet be capable of getting up and getting back into it! The average time of a session for someone treated at their workstation or in small office or sick bay is 12 minutes.
Q: Do we get a discount if we have a lot of people to be treated?
A: Yes you do! You will get a loyalty card, the 5th massage is half price, and the 10th massage is for free.
Q: Do we have to sign a contract? I'm hesitant to do so.
A: NO.
Q: I want to go ahead and make a booking. What do I do now?
A: You can e-mail me direct or contact me by phone. I can then determine the appropriate day, the numbers of staff to be treated, whether at their workstations or away from them. In the meantime, it's best if you quiz your staff to determine who will be available and willing to have a Seated Massage on the day you have chosen. Your staff is going to love you!
My recommendation is that you book the first two visits up front, if you are at all thinking of providing Seated Massage on a regular basis as one of your employee benefits. On the second visit, I hand out questionnaires to staff that are asked to fill them out anonymously and hand them in. They are then sent to me and I file a detailed report for management, which helps them to determine whether to continue with a program of Seated Massage. This method provides them with a verbatim account of staff response to this extremely popular employee benefit.

We are looking forward to hearing from you. Give it a go. Your staff is going to love you.
